updates: oink oink

Well, for the past week I have been incapacitated... with swine flu! That's right, swine flu! The symptoms started on Saturday evening while I was perfecting my discostick, and though they are not as bad now (they have varied in intensity depending on the day), they are still here. On Tuesday night I had the worst cramping pain I have ever felt. It was just a constant sharp pain in my stomach, and I swear it rivaled the pain of childbirth. Not that I've ever felt that before, but really. So I had to miss school the only time I would have actually wanted to go (three day week, Thursday and Friday were already off). I didn't get to dress up for the last day of school prior to Halloween, and I have to make up 2 tests before the end of the trimester, which is next week. and we don't have SRT next week, so I'm not sure when that's going to happen...

Let's see... nothing else is really happening... school is still a bitch, though trimester 2 is almost here, along with drawing! I'm crossing my fingers that Mrs. Ryser doesn't like grammar as much then as she does now.

Halloween is two days away, and I need a pumpkin. I'm going to do Jack Skellington from the nightmare before Christmas. Easy, yet creative. I did Jack and Sally last year and everybody loved it, so here's to another year. Zan cut my Lady Gaga wig but I realized that in the back you can totally see through the wig so it looks like it's balding. HA oh well. I missed the Halloween dance (oink oink), BUT if all goes as planned I will be going to Madi's Halloween party tomorrow.

Yes it's still October, but I'm already excited for Christmas. Which reminds me, I am hosting Thanksgiving for the fishack this year. I'm nervous but I think it should be fun. Last time the fishack did something here people seemed to enjoy themselves. But Christmas. Last year I did the majority of the decorating which I didn't mind, Because the tree looked absolutely fabulous, and so all compliments were directed towards me. I also got a black mini Christmas tree last year at borders on DEC 26 (adding to my pink one from borders the year before), which I'm excited to decorate. I'm already pestering my parents to go ahead and buy that record player now so I can break out the Bing.

Also, my parents said they are thinking about buying a ticket so Eric can come home for a couple of days for Christmas which would make this Christmas absolutely perfect. I'm almost 100% going to Chicago with Zan and her parents fir New years eve through like the 2nd or 3rd, which would be lotsss of fun. (My parents still have to discuss it, but they said its a probably). And April is pregnant again! so congrats to her, and I hope it's another girl.

Okay. I really need to update more often, but I'm so busy.

P.S. I saw Paranormal Activity twice and loved it. It's the scariest movie I've ever seen and if you like being scared, go see it. seriously.

P.P.S. I'm Pescatarian.

Blame it on the girls

Oy, I have been having a relatively good time since the last post. First tri is half over, and I currently have a C in APUSH and a C+ in English, and then an A in Algebra II and an A- in German III. Pretty good, eh?
This weekend was lots of fun, and incredibly eventful. Friday was homecoming, which was great, Alex and I danced our asses off. Coincidentally I didn't want to move for a couple of days when I got home. Saturday Hank, Jamie, and I all went to Alex's to help paint her room, which didn't happen but good job to Jamie for taping the stuff. Then we created a family of ourselves on Sims 3. That was interesting, and after that Jamie had to go home, but the rest of us went to see Jennifer's Body.
At our theaters they have recently started enforcing the ID rule, where you have to be 17 to buy tickets for an R-rated film. Well the only photo ID I have is my passport from 5 years ago, and I brought it anyway since I'm the only 17 year old out of my friends. And they didn't even check the ID's! It was a bit of a relief I guess but I was mad that the one time I brought an ID they didn't ask.. I guess they thought that if we were going to a 10 PM film, you're older.
So I loved Jennifer's Body. Diablo Cody is one of the few writers that I know of and love. (She wrote Juno.) The snappy dialogue was there, though some of it was kind of obscure so it was hard to understand. Megan Fox hasn't improved in her acting since Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Amanda Seyfried was really good. This made up for her doing Mamma Mia. There were some confusing bits, and some parts didn't need to be in the movie, but I really thought it was a great film. It was little different than I though it would be, it wasn't as funny as it was portrayed in the trailers, and just a lot weirder. The music was freaking awesome, and the pool scene was crazy. I wish my town had a pool like that. GO SEE THE FILM!
I am now on Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, which is turning out really well. I think if I have time to read, I could finish it by the end of this week. I am also becoming a little obsessed with the series. I keep thinking about things randomly from the books and if I read before bed then I have dreams about it, which isn't entirely uncommon. I love Fred and George even more in the books than the movies.
I'm growing out my hair. It's now at the point where I can't put it up, but if I leave it down it looks really weird. So I've had to french braid it so it will be curly and not weirdly straight. I've also been listening to a lot of the artists on the New Moon soundtrack, and I recommend you do the same. They're great. And Mika, he is wonderful. Not one bad track on his sophomore album. And he's English.

I do believe that's about it. I'm bumpin to Allein Allein right now. I think I'm doing alright.
