oy vey. I reall need to post more often. I mean, I know nobody reads these but still.

SO! uh updates as usual. SB10 was really good. I didn't get sunburnt or anything! It was prett relaxing the whole way through, but then there were also teams competing against one another so I was pretty happy. I made new friends kind of. so that was also really awesome. My NHS induction is next week, prom is in a couple of months, and Alice in Wonderland is next month. SAT's are in May. So you could say I'm a little busy right now.
I'm doing more with my sewing now that I have Fashion and textiles this trimester. Though so far the only sewing I've got done was one dress that I cut in half and made a skirt and shirt out of, and then the little sample pieces we have to make proving we know how to do certain things. It's a little tedious and we still have like two more things to do. even though we've been working for about two weeks. Anyway I ordered a vintage 40's pattern today as well as an 80's one. the 40's one is to die for, it's high waisted pleated shorts that received Mom's Modesty Seal of Approval. The 80's one is pretty basic: a wrap dress with slight shoulder pads. I also found a romper pattern in my sewing stuff as well as a late 60's toddler pattern complete with the original iron-ons. I think now that there are two soon to be newborns in the family, those would make adorable Christmas presents. And lastly I found some 60's Barbie patterns which are just so cute. I might do that as a side project.
And more on the whole fashion subject, I've been reading a lot of really good fashion books lately. I kind of went crazy at the library a couple of weeks ago, getting all the fashion books that came out within the last two years that looked interesting. I've only gotten around to flipping through most and completing one so far. The one I did finish was Crystal Renn's autobiography- Hungry. I thought it would be interesting as she is the highest paid plus size model in the industry and I think she's really good. Well It was really uplifting as well which was very unexpected. I felt better about my body after reading and lately I've been struggling more with my body image (it's been yo-yoing between 145 and 150 for the past couple of months which has been hard). So I would recommend that one. The one I'm currently reading is Vogue Fashion : Over 100 Years of Style by Decade and Designer, in Association With Vogue. This one is really informative and helps you learn which clothes come from which decade as well as what certain designers are known for. In the beginning there is fashion broken up by decade from 1900-2000 with plenty of pictures. The second half is made up of an encyclopedia of designers. So that one is also pretty good.
Well I think that's about it... not much else new. Just living life. Enjoying it. You know.
